Passionate about witnessing lives transformed through faith, mentorship, and leadership development.

Linda Steele – Board Vice President since 2014

Business executive for many years, educator with expertise in nonprofit leadership and Spanish literature.

Dedicated to equipping young leaders in Latin America through Christian education and mentorship.

Brings decades of experience to Icthus, serving in leadership, international outreach, and personal involvement.

Charlotte Mischler – Board Secretary since 2018

Educator with 50 years of experience and a background in Christian camping ministry.

Honored to continue her father’s legacy (co-founder John Shackelford), witnessing God transform lives through Icthus.

Supports Icthus’ global impact and serves alongside volunteers in Latin American Icthus communities.

Steven Brown – Board Treasurer 2023, member since 2020

Experienced DDS with 40 years of practice and leadership roles in professional and faith-based organizations.

Committed to empowering young leaders in Latin America through Christian mentorship and service.

Actively supports Icthus through the board as the treasurer with financial stewardship and international engagement.

Kara Watkins – Board Member since 20

Immigration attorney with a background in nonprofit service, international missions, and legal advocacy.

Inspired by Icthus’ impact on young lives and communities, committed to supporting its mission.

Engages in board leadership, translations, and international outreach to strengthen Icthus programs.

Scott Fair – Board member since 2020

Missionary to Eastern Europe for 17 years. 

Worked with at-risk and special needs children for 30 years. 

Provides assertive guidance for Icthus’ strategic planning and long-term impact.

David Bethany – Board Member since 2023

Successful leader of a prominent construction consulting firm with 35+ years of expertise in large-scale projects and litigation consulting.

Passionate about using his skills to build churches, schools, and homes for communities in need worldwide.

Provides strategy to Icthus, leveraging his expertise to support its mission of equipping young leaders.

Passionate about breaking the cycle of poverty of families in need through Christian education and leadership training.

Amy Jacinto – Icthus team member

Background in Criminal Law and Communications with a passion for ministry and service.

Inspired by the life-changing work of Icthus in Latin America, dedicated to advancing Icthus’ Impact.

Works closely with the Board of Directors and CEO, handles donor communications, assists with local events, and attends Icthus International trips to Latin America.
